The Presidium of the Crimean football union made a decision on conduction of the "Year of Veteran football – 2020" in the Republic of the Crimea and Sevastopol city in 2020 year on the initiative of Crimean Regional Public Organization "Crimean Veterans of football" and the CFU president Iurii Vetokha.
Iurii Vetokha, the president of the Crimean football union:
"The aim of conduction of the "Year of Veteran football – 2020" is to reborn of veteran’s movement in Crimea and Sevastopol football. I want our dear veterans to actively participate in development of football in peninsula! The plans include conduction of competitions and tournaments, round tables and different events on work with growing generation of football players, where veterans can share their rich professional experience and knowledge".
