Next stage of National Student Football League of Russia started in Yevpatoriya (PHOTO)
The spring part of the National Student Football League season -2018/19 opened by two interregional tournaments on the fields of sports complex "Arena-Crimea" in Yevpatoriya on March 19, 2019.
The teams of Crimean Federal University V.I. Vernadsky (Simferopol), Don State Technical University (Rostov-on-Don), Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism (Kazan) and Kabardino-Balkarian State University (Nalchik) take part at the Premier Group tournament.
Combined teams of Sevastopol State University, Moscow Pedagogical State University, St Petersburg University and Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University play at First Group tournament.
The president of the International Student Football union, Deputy Minister of Justice of Russian Federation Alu Alkhanov, the president of the Crimean football union Iurii Vetokha, the Minister of Sport of Crimea Olga Torubarova, Rector of V.I. Vernadsky CFU Andrei Falaleev, the president of the National Student Football League Andrei Stukalov took part at the opening ceremony as well football functionaries from India, Azerdaijan, Lithuania, Benin and Nigeria.
The president of the Crimean football union Iurii Vetokha:
"The competitions under the aegis of the National Student Football League of Russia conduct regularly in Crimea. I want to say thanks to the leaders of the NSFL for their confidence. We put the most efforts from our side, that it was comfortable to all teams-participants to conduct the matches at our peninsular. Students sport is very popular in the world, it unites the countries and entire continents. The Winter Universiade proved it, recently conducted in Krasnoyarsk. The students’ football is on the increase in the Crimea, and results of the Crimean Federal University prove it. I wish to all teams fair contest and may the best man win".
The team of Crimean Federal University played in a draw at the first match day – 2:2 – with collective of Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture (Kazan). Crimean football plyers found strength and managed to equalize the score after the yielding with the score 2:0 during the match. The forward of FC "Yevpatoriya" Iaroslav Udin in the squad of Crimean Federal University distinguished himself by double.
The team DSTU (Rostov-on-Don) overplayed the team KBSU (Nalchik) with the score 2:1 at one more game of the first match day of Premier Group.
There will play on Wednesday, March 20:
10:00 VSAPCST (Kazan) – DSTU (Rostov-on-Don)
12:30 CFU (Simferopol) – KBSU (Nalchik).
The Video assistant referee system will be test for the first time at this student League games. The VAR system – football technology allows the Referee to make decisions in point at issue of match with video replays.
