Traditional training session for referees and inspectors, who conducting matches of various tournaments under the aegis of the Crimean football union is held on the basis of the sports complex "Skif" in Novopavlovka, Bakhchysaray district, since August 9.

The young referees working on matches of amateur, children and youth’s and competitions were invited to the training session at this time. Many of the young referees have excellent chances to start work on matches of a higher level this season as the Head of the CFU Referees’ committee mr Andrey Priymak told to the press service of the CFU.

"Traditionally, we have a number of perspective referees at the extended summer session. I hope that we will see some of them in work at the games of the championship and the Premier League Cup in the near future. We are always keeping an eye on all young referees, attending the matches of the Crimea Open championship and Children and Youth’s Football League of the peninsula. There are 50 people at the session, they all preparing for the new season in excellent conditions. We look forward to see not only new referees but also inspectors in the next championship"- said Andrey Piymak.

FIFA referee Anatoly Zhabchenko takes an active part in the session this year, who not only prepares for the season along with others, but also shares his knowledge to the rest of the referees.

"We implanted the latest methodological materials of the European level for the first time in the Crimea, the referees of the highest class are trained in this way", – Anatoly said. – We are taking guidance from UEFA and FIFA referees` criteria, we work according to their requirements. I think that all colleagues who are training now, satisfied with such professional approach to the training. Can see in guys’ eyes that they are interested and I really hope that all this will benefit them at the football fields, and we will see a qualitative refereeing in the new championship. There are a lot of innovations and nuances in the Laws of the Game over the past two years and before the World Cup. Football develops, it becomes faster and more intensive, therefore, refereeing must correspond to this level. It`s nice that appears young talents in Crimea who are already knocking on the door of the CFU, and we hope that these guys will only increase their refereeing level from match to match".

Special emphasis on the session is attending to training of referee assistants. They work together with the referee during training, where they work on interaction at the field, sharpen special gestures. Mikhail Verikovskiy having become the best referee assistant following the results of the last season, told about the wonderful atmosphere during the training process.

"We all like the process of preparation very much. Our session began with a test according to the Laws of the Game, after it we have theoretical classes twice a day, where we watch video materials, make out various game moments and innovations in detail. Also we train on the football field twice a day, where we study a variety of physical exercises aimed at developing concentration and improving physical qualities. We learn a lot of new things every day, we became one big family at these training session. The main task for us now is to relocate the all acquired knowledge to the football field", – said Verikovskiy.

Training session for referees and inspectors will last till August 16 – all referees will pass a physical test on that day.
