The final of the CFU Cup-2018/19 will be in Sevastopol on May 8
The final match of the Crimean football union Cup tie, season 2018/19 will be on next Wednesday, May8, where FC "Sevastopol" and "Gvardeets" (Skvortsovo, Simferopol district) will play.
Both teams conducted five matches on the way to finale.
The rivals met with amateur teams from Open championship of the peninsular at the stage of round 16. FC "Sevastopol" won from FC "Saky" with the score 3:0 in away game, and "Gvardeets" was also stronger than "Avangard-Incomsport", Yalta in away game – 4:0.
"Sevastopol" met with "Kyzyltash", Bakhchysaray in quarter final matches. Sevastopol minimally lost with the score 0:1 at home in first round of 8, and won from opponents with the score 3:1 in return leg and broke into final.
"Krymteplitsa", Molodezhnoe was the competitor of "Gvardeets" in the quarter final stage. "Gvardeets" won from "teplitsa" with the score 2:1 in first match in away game, and return leg ended in a draw.
"Ocean", Kerch stood against "Sevastopol" twice in the semi-final stage games, but the team of "Sevastopol" didn’t feel any problems at these games, having won twice with the same score 2:0.
And the matches of semi-final against "TSK-Tavriya" were not so easy for "Gvardeets". A draw 1:1 was fixed at first match which "Gvardeets" conducted at home. "Gvardeets" was ahead the score during all time of the match in return leg, but missed in the 84th minute. It seemed that second finalist will be determined by result of injury time or shootout series, but defender of "Gvardeets" Mikhail Barinov brought the win to "Gvardeets" from penalty 2:1 in the 90+3rd minute and took his team to the final of the CFU Cup.
Thus "Sevastopol" and "Gvardeets" will play in the final match of the Crimean football union Cup, season -2018/19.
Let us note, that FC "Sevastopol" also played in the Cup final at last season. "Krymteplitsa" from Molodezhnoe was the opponent of Sevastopol and become the CFU Cup holder, having won with the score 2:0.
The final match will be in Sevastopol on the field of sports and health complex "Sevastopol" (Brestskaya str. 21) on Wednesday, May 8. The beginning of the game at 18 o’clock.
