The final of the Crimean football union Cup season-2016/17 held in Simferopol on May,9, where met FC "Yevpatoriya" and "Krymteplitsa" from Molodezhnoe urban type settlement. Considerable public excitement was generated by this match among residents and guests of the Crimean capital. The "Fiolent" stadium filled to overflowing with supporters. A lot of active fans came from Yevpatoriya city and Molodezhnoe urban type settlement and urged their teams go forward during all 90 minutes of the match.
Both teams played carefully at first half, focusing on the defense actions. But speeds increased visibly at second half of the meeting. Midfielder of "Krymteplitsa" Lenur Akhunov sent out from the field for a second caution by the 55th minute, and Dmitriy Matvienko from Yevpatoriya city made assist from penalty area to the goalkeepers’ corner area already by the 57th minute, where defender Peter Oparin joined to the attack of his team and made head home a goal – 1:0.
"Krymteplitsa" played in short-handed and managed to equalize the score. Substituted Substitute Aleksey Boiko won a fight for the ball in the center of the penalty area by the 81st minute, and made a draw by head home – 1:1. It seemed that the regular time of the match will end in a draw, but forward of "Yevpatoriya" Aleksander Borshch made a cross to the penalty area of "Krymteplitsa" at the first minute of the second half stoppage time, the ball was not touched and the "round" rebounded from the pitch and got at "Krymteplitsa" net. It was not enough time for "Krymteplitsa" to win back. The fact that once again to win back the young people did not have enough time. 2:1 – the victory of "Yevpatoriya", who became the Crimean football union Cup 2016/17 holder.
Iurii Vetokha, the president of the Crimean football union, presented to final participants with golden medals and with beautiful cup to "Yevpatoriya" at the victory ceremony.
