Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov met with the leaders of the Crimean football clubs, the president of the Crimean football union Iurii Vetocha and the heads of Republic enterprises, yesterday, on November 21, 2017, where were discussed the issues of financing of the Crimean teams.
The CFU president, Iurii Vetokha, told about the meeting results:
"The visit of the State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Sports of Russian Federation Natalia Parshikova to Crimea preceded yesterday`s meeting with the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, during which were discussed the issues of football development at the peninsula and support of the Crimean professional football clubs. Leaders of clubs expressed an opinion that things stand difficult with financing for today, almost all costs placed on teams presidents’ shoulders, and it becomes more difficult to keep clubs without the support.
Head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov heard us, and said that the republic authorities are ready to help. It was decided to support the Crimean football clubs through the state unitary enterprise RC "Krymenergo" at a staff meeting in the Council of Ministers of the Crimea. I want to express deep gratitude to the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov that he heard the requests of the football clubs’ presidents. Now the teams can confidently look forward, and thus our championship will become stronger and more spectacular.
We have an algorithm for devoting funds. We have already looked into nuances with the clubs’ presidents, determined what this money will be spent on, there should be strict reporting system on the funds spending. Our football players will be provided with wages for the entire calendar year 2018", – Iurii Vetokha told to the CFU press service.
